## Description

The Gables, located in Scunthorpe, has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join their team. The Gables offers residential support for 12 males and females with complex mental health needs.

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a compassionate team committed to residents' wellbeing. You will assist qualified staff with assessing and implementing individual patient care plans, undertake routine tasks and activities to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide reliable, friendly, and compassionate support to help service users achieve daily goals, including personal care.

- Assist with and encourage participation in in-house activities and hobbies to promote engagement and wellbeing.

- Stay attentive to service users' needs and motivate them to reach their full potential.

- Demonstrate resilience and help manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.

Required skills and expertise:

- A caring and respectful approach to supporting others.

- Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures.

- Experience in care or support work (desirable, but not essential – training provided).
