## Description

The Senior Manager, Propulsion Test, Launch and Recovery role is part of the Experimental Systems Group (ESG) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

The Senior Manager will excel in both engineering technical acumen and people leadership, prioritizing the development and career growth of engineering employees, inspiring and empowering teams, building a Quality and Safety culture, and leading with accountability.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and deploying multi-disciplined skills, model-based tools, and standardized processes to support engineering execution for integration, test, launch, and recovery

- Driving functional collaboration across SI&WS programs to optimize resource utilization, mitigate critical skill gaps, and ensure high levels of safety, quality, and program performance

- Collaborating with IPT leadership to manage the Cost Account for the contract Statement of Work

- Establishing and sustaining functional excellence standards, processes, tools, talent management practices, and workforce strategies to support program execution

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

- Minimum 1 year of experience participating or leading in propulsion testing and loading operations

- Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering leadership

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production/factory environment

Preferred qualifications include:

- Experience in cost account management and participating in program reviews

- Experience in launch integration or recovery operations

- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people

- Strong communication skills and active listening

- Experience with reusable space systems

The pay range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000.
