### About the role

You'll lead the cybersecurity product at Anthropic, setting the strategy, deciding what to build and where to partner, shipping products, and being the company's voice with CISOs, security vendors, and researchers.

### Key responsibilities

- Set Anthropic's cybersecurity product portfolio strategy and be accountable for the results.

- Ship security products, focusing on vulnerability discovery and remediation in Claude Code and expanding capabilities in the future.

- Represent Anthropic externally on security matters with CISOs, vendors, researchers, governments, and press.

- Partner with research to identify areas where the model falls short on security tasks and develop plans to improve.

- Collaborate with safeguards and policy teams on model access for Cybersecurity.

- Manage cross-functional threads across research, engineering, sales, safeguards, policy, legal, and communications.

### Minimum qualifications

- Significant experience in security, either building security products, leading a security team, or hands-on work in application security, detection and response, vulnerability research, or offensive security.

- Proven track record of building products or businesses from scratch and taking them to paying customers.

- Ability to design with future model capabilities in mind, treating current limitations as research targets with a reliability focus.

- Strong product judgment and technical depth to assess findings and determine their validity.

- Willingness to handle less glamorous tasks.

- Effective communication skills for interactions with CISOs, researchers, and executives.

### Preferred qualifications

- 12+ years of experience in building and shipping products, particularly in the security space.

- Fluency with AI products, including evaluations and understanding model behavior as part of the product surface.

- Technical background or experience working closely with infrastructure/platform teams.

- Strong technical judgment with the ability to delve deep into security and infrastructure topics.

- Structured thinking to break down complex compliance requirements into actionable features.

### Logistics

- Annual Salary: $385,000-$460,000 USD

- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

- Required field of study: A field relevant to the role.

- Location-based hybrid policy: Staff expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
