## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our team at Pendean House Care Home in Midhurst. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.

**Responsibilities:**

- Create varied and nutritional menus using fresh ingredients, taking into account the dietary needs and preferences of our residents

- Put forward ideas to enhance the dining experience and make our residents feel at home

- Train and manage the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and serving

- Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, and procedures, while managing orders and deliveries

- Cater for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer fetes and Christmas parties

**Key Skills and Qualifications:**

- Passion for cooking with previous experience in a fresh food kitchen

- Relevant hygiene certificates

- Ability to create and deliver an excellent dining experience

- Open to new ideas with an innovative approach to cooking

- Strong communication skills
