## Description

Respawn Entertainment is seeking a Game Designer Intern to join the Apex Legends team. As an intern, you will work closely with designers, engineers, and other creatives to prototype and refine gameplay features in Apex Legends.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and creatives to develop and improve gameplay systems

- Write functional scripts that align with technical best practices

- Work with multiple disciplines to promote the vision of gameplay features

- Refine features based on playtesting, design requirements, and creative direction

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an anticipated graduation date no earlier than December 2027

- Computer science fundamentals and scripting experience (Lua, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

- Passion for creating gameplay systems, mechanics, and game modes

- Strong attention to detail and an eye for polish

- Collaborative and inclusive attitude with excellent communication skills

- Experience with a game engine or framework (Unreal, Unity, Godot, etc.)

- Drive to learn and understand game design processes, specifically game mechanics and design theory

Nice to Have:

- Experience with C++

- Portfolio of game projects

- Interest in working in a multiplayer live service environment

- Familiarity with the Battle Royale genre

Pay Transparency - North America: * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $60,000 - $65,000 CAD
