## Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Raymond, Ohio. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles, researching and applying new technologies to sustain business targets and maintaining global vehicle product quality.

The area of technical responsibility will be the appearance function, with a specialization in New Color Development, Graphics and Labels.

Key accountabilities include:

- Developing basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software

- Communicating specification requirements and manufacturing control points via prototype and production drawings

- Maintaining accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation

- Adhering to given cost targets for responsible parts

- Creating and managing schedules of individual work to ensure deadlines are met

- Generating basic ideas that contribute to the evolution of new technologies

- Maintaining maturation of ideas to prepare for development applications

- Utilizing problem-solving methods to analyse root causes

- Developing and implementing C/M specs as necessary

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, engineering experience preferably in the Powersports or Automotive field, and strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
