## Description

As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer at NVIDIA, you will contribute to the advancement of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. You will collaborate with NVIDIA's hardware engineering teams, component suppliers, and Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEM) to devise comprehensive manufacturing solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing detailed DFM and DFA analysis and liaising with NVIDIA's hardware development team to provide manufacturing solutions

- Leading the identification and resolution of manufacturability challenges that may adversely affect manufacturing readiness

- Collaborating with mechanical/thermal suppliers and CEMs to establish manufacturing specifications and expectations

- Leading the development of assembly fixtures and jigs, analyzing and validating assembly processes to ensure quality and efficiency

- Addressing frontline production issues, failure analysis, driving corrective actions, and conducting manufacturing R&D activities

- Advocating for technological advancements and design modifications to optimize manufacturing quality and efficiency

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience, backed by 5+ years in thermal/mechanical design and manufacturing

- Practical knowledge in metallurgy/plastics, solid mechanics, material selection, and their implications on electrical contacts

- Demonstrated capacity for leading multiple aspects of product manufacturing development, employing a hands-on approach to DFM and DFA

- Knowledge of commonly used manufacturing technologies, thermal challenges, and basic electrical circuits

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo) and a robust understanding of manufacturing technologies

To stand out from the crowd, you should:

- Be able to learn quickly and operate outside of your comfort zone

- Have experience in functional tolerancing, GD&T, SPC, system assembly/testing, and a solid grasp of NPI processes

- Have relevant design experience in data center product design
