## Job Overview

As a Technical Lead, Patient Experience at Pomelo Care, you will serve as the technical lead for how patients interact with Pomelo from enrollment through their entire care journey.

## Responsibilities

- Lead the technical direction for mobile development strategy and patient-facing apps.

- Rapidly prototype and ship features in patient mobile and web apps using AI tools.

- Steer product direction for supporting and retaining patients in their critical first month with Pomelo.

- Collaborate directly with patients and partner with product, design, and clinical teams to turn real needs into features.

- Mentor and grow junior engineers.

- Set technical standards, architecture patterns, and development practices for patient-facing products.

## Problems You'll Solve

- Engage patients proactively in their own care.

- Personalize the patient experience to specific needs and interests while improving outcomes.

- Build habits for patients to check in with Pomelo first when problems arise during pregnancy.

- Keep patients engaged without always requiring direct clinical intervention.

## Requirements

- Deep experience building and shipping consumer or patient-facing products.

- Experience as a technical lead on a team, setting architecture direction and mentoring engineers.

- Strong opinions about building great user experiences.

- Comfortable working across the full stack and moving quickly in a startup environment.

- Keeping up with trends in LLM coding agents.

## Nice to Have

- Experience with React Native or cross-platform mobile frameworks.

- Experience building products in healthcare, wellness, or high-trust consumer domains.

- Prior experience with AI/ML or building agent-based systems.

The expected base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $260,000.
