## Description

We are seeking a salaried GP to join our team on a fixed-term basis, working 3-4 sessions per week. As a training practice, we support the development of our GPs. The salary range is £11,000 to £11,500 per session, depending on experience.

**Main Duties:**

- Undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and queries

- Visit patients at home and deal with paperwork and correspondence

- Assess healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems

- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes

- Collect data for audit purposes

- Compile and issue computer-generated prescriptions

- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary

**Other Responsibilities:**

- Awareness of and compliance with practice policies and guidelines

- Commitment to life-long learning and audit

- Contribution to evaluation, audit, and clinical standard setting

- Contribution to the development of computer-based patient records

- Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies

**Person Specification:**

- Postgraduate qualification in General Practice

- Full registration with GMC and a recognised medical defence organisation

- Registered and approved on the Medical Performers List

- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to contribute to multi-professional working

- Ability to work well within the practice team
