## Description

We are responsible for billions of dollars of payments each month to millions of Amazon vendors across the globe.

We build software applications that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually, rivaling the complexity and scope of dedicated payments fintech companies.

You will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced environment leveraging the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) within our core principles of engineering, to deliver faster and ship features incrementally.

Ownership is the center of this role, and ownership here means the whole lifecycle rather than just the code.

You will take features from working backwards from the customer through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation , and you stay accountable for how they behave in production long after they ship.

Responsibilities:

- Own features and components of our payment systems end-to-end.

- Design the solution and make the tradeoffs.

- Code independently, and collaborate with senior and principal engineers.

- Work directly with product managers and business stakeholders.

- Ship incrementally.

- Reduce operational load.

- Leave the system better explained than you found it.

- Raise the bar around you.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience

- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience

- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems

- Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems

- Experience with cloud computing or web services or related areas

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
