## Description

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily activities of assigned laboratory work groups. As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, providing technical leadership, troubleshooting complex technical challenges, and implementing resolutions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage the daily activities of assigned laboratory work groups through delegation, technical skills training, and work supervision

- Screen and assign workload, plan, prioritize and assign tasks and projects

- Counsel, train and coach laboratory staff, develop performance standards, monitor work, and evaluate performance

- Set week-to-week operational activities for the team

- Manage staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations

- Provide technical leadership to lab staff and cross-functionally in the area of expertise

- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement resolutions

- Participate in budget planning process based on revenue targets and financial goals

- Identify opportunities for cost savings for reagents and supplies

- Ensure adequate supply and inventory for testing delivery, and spend within budget

- Drive individual accountability for quality and safety across the team

- Lead quality and safety investigations, and drive resolution for enhancements

- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement

- Foster a unified culture and facilitate collaboration, cooperation, sharing of information and teamwork

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's Degree in Bioscience

- 7 years of experience in a regulated laboratory environment

- Strong understanding of operations and methods

- In-depth knowledge of lab testing procedures and applicable laboratory testing regulations

- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Effective supervision and coaching skills
