## Description

As a Manufacturing Operations Manager at 3M Bangor, Northern Ireland, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

You will make an impact by:

- Managing and coordinating all production and warehouse manufacturing operations

- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality

- Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement

- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of supervisors and production staff

- Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance, to achieve company goals

- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and reports related to manufacturing operations

- Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies

- Promoting Operational Excellence across the full production team

- Supporting the site leadership team as a senior member of the Plant Leadership Team

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus

- Strong leader with a proven track record in manufacturing management, process improvement, and team development

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology

- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools

- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

Additional knowledge/nice-to-have skills/preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

- Experience with ERP Process (preferably SAP) within a manufacturing environment

- Experience in the paper manufacturing industry

The role will be 100% on site at the 3M Bangor Plant in Northern Ireland. May include infrequent travel [domestic/international] to collaborate & network with suppliers & other 3M facilities to advance the site and support personal development.
