## Description

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

Under the direction of your preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to give you hands-on experience and an overview of store, district, and regional operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment

- Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care

- Offering to counsel patients, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient's medical history

- Taking telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarifying prescriptions or facilitating medication changes where allowed by state regulation

- Maintaining self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members

- Completing basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership

- Contributing to a high-performing team and being receptive to feedback

- Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs

- Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles

- Delivering additional patient healthcare services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowable by law

You will also have the opportunity to support immunizations, including:

- Completing additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status

- Educating patients about the importance of vaccines

- Monitoring for and responding to adverse reactions

- Reviewing and collecting patient information

**Requirements:**

- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy

- Possess or in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting

- Ability to become immunization certified

- Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

**Pay Range:** $20.00 - $23.75
