## Description

We are seeking a Recycling Centre Operative to join our team in South Kirkby. As a Recycling Centre Operative, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer service to site users while ensuring a high level of health and safety compliance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Providing excellent customer service to members of the public, assisting and advising them on how to use the site effectively and safely

- Ensuring segregation of different waste streams into appropriate containers to maximise the recovery of materials

- Separating and storing hazardous waste appropriately

- Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and ensuring the site is clean and tidy at all times

- Keeping all equipment clean and maintained to ensure a safe working environment

- Controlling traffic flows to ensure safe operation

- Identifying and reporting any defects on site

- Following all risk assessments and safe operating procedures

- Reporting all non-compliances and breaches of site rules

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- Good communication and listening skills

- The ability to take pride in providing high levels of customer service

- High standards of yourself and others, with the ability to translate this into high-quality output

- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
