## Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef or Cook to join our friendly and experienced hospitality team on a bank/ad-hoc basis at Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield.

As a Chef / Cook, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of high-quality food and beverages across the hospital.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare, cook, and present meals to the required standard

- Support the delivery of food and beverages for patients, staff, consultants, and visitors

- Assist with service in the staff restaurant and ensure food counters are well stocked

- Prepare food and beverages for special functions and hospital events

- Support patients with individual dietary needs or preferences

- Ensure all HACCP, food hygiene, and health and safety guidelines are followed and recorded

- Check deliveries and maintain accurate records

- Carry out cleaning duties in line with kitchen schedules

- Maintain clean, safe, and tidy working conditions

- Support colleagues and build positive working relationships

Requirements:

- Experience working in a kitchen environment

- Experience cooking for larger numbers of people

- Previous experience in a restaurant-style kitchen, hospital, ward, or visitor-facing catering environment

- Good communication skills

- Positive and professional approach to customer service

- Ability to build rapport with patients, visitors, colleagues, and consultants

- Calm and organised approach when working under pressure

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

- Willingness to take ownership of your own training and development
