## Description

We are seeking a Market Street Fishmonger to join our team in Darlington. As a Fishmonger, you will be responsible for preparing and selling fresh fish products, offering cooking advice, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare quality catches: fillet, scale, skin, pin bone, gut, cut, weigh, and price fish products to exact company and customer specifications.

- Maintain vibrant displays: keep fresh fish displays well-stocked, fresh, and attractive throughout the trading day.

- Keep operations safe and legal: follow all safe and legal guidelines, managing temperature controls, COSHH chemicals, PPE, and allergen procedures.

- Put customers first: deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights traditional skills, sharing specialist preparation and cooking advice.

Requirements:

- Brings genuine fishmongery skills: competent in cleaning, preparing, filleting, pin boning, scaling, skinning, and gutting products.

- Enjoys an active, hands-on role: comfortable with physical activity in a fast-paced environment.

- Loves helping people: friendly, approachable, and energised by customer interaction.

- Works well as part of the team: shares ideas, supports colleagues, and takes a practical approach to stock rotation and minimising waste.
