## Description

We are seeking a part-time PRN Dishwasher to join our team at Intermountain Medical Center Culinary Services.

As a PRN Dishwasher, you will be responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks, ensuring the Culinary Department is maintained in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department, and Joint Commission standards.

**Responsibilities:**

- Clean and sanitise dishes

- Collect carts with patient trays from hospital floors

- Clean and disinfect assigned areas, including dining areas, using department cleaning procedures

- Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards

- Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash

- Operate and maintain assigned equipment, such as commercial dishwashers, according to established procedures

**Requirements:**

- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by the first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho)

- Ability to read colour-coded labels and chemicals, as well as follow written and verbal directions

- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machines (preferred)

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs

- Occasional interaction with customers that requires communication and understanding of spoken information

- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy

- Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment

- Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work

- Tolerate extremes in temperature, such as performing work around dish machines, and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals

**Scheduling:**

- PRN positions, working 2-3 shifts per week, depending on department needs

- Schedule known at least a week in advance, unless needed to cover on short notice

- Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability required

**Pay Rate:** $17.43 - $22.29 per hour, based on experience
