## Description

Diageo is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in Jakarta. As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the Indonesian management team. You will work closely with key stakeholders to minimize legal risk, guide the resolution of issues, and create an environment where risk is avoided.

Responsibilities:

- Minimize legal risk by early involvement in key projects, guiding resolution of issues and proactively creating an environment where risk is avoided.

- Proactively lead the compliance agenda including providing training on key policies and maintain a rock-solid controls and compliance environment.

- Support the teams on key projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience as a lawyer, with experience at a leading law firm or relevant in-house experience.

- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work confidently and stand ground with senior managers.

- Experience in handling compliance-challenged markets.

- Strong commercial law background, especially in the negotiation and documentation of commercial contracts.

- Fluency in English and Indonesian Language.
