## Description

We are seeking a GLO Customs & Compliance Expert to join our team. As a Hybrid role, you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

The successful candidate will apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommend appropriate alternatives related to Customs Operations. You will work on problems of diverse day-to-day import/export operations at the country/regional level and may act as a team or project leader.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring compliance with complex and country/regional/global trade regulations

- Managing customs broker activities and performance metrics

- Supporting the Regional Customs Broker Strategy and audit support

- Engaging with HPE Global Trade and other organizations as required

- Identifying opportunities for Customs Operations process improvement

Required skills and experience:

- First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred

- Typically 4-6 years of experience in a customs/global trade function

- Ability to understand and interpret EMEA/Country/International trade regulations

- Customs Broker Management experience

- Experience with conducting broker assessments and responding to government authorities

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Extensive knowledge of Advanced MS Office and good internal and external relationship management skills
