## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Chef (Bank) to join our team at Aston Court Care Home in Sutton Coldfield.

As an Assistant Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating a varied and nutritional menu in line with dietary needs and preferences. You will train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving food, as well as manage mandatory paperwork, including COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, and orders and deliveries.

Responsibilities:

- Create a varied and nutritional menu in line with dietary needs and preferences

- Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving food

- Manage all mandatory paperwork, including COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries

- Cater for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties, and birthdays

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

- A passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates

- Ability to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal and make residents feel at home

- Open to new ideas, with an innovative approach to cooking whilst adhering to high standards

- Good communication skills, with the ability to share your love of food with residents

Salary: £13.54 - £15.08 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience
