## Description

We're seeking a Senior Customer Engineer - AI & Start-Ups at Cloudflare, a company that values curiosity and AI-native solutions.

As a Senior Customer Engineer, you will work with innovative and cutting-edge companies, specifically startups and high-growth, cloud-native businesses. Your role involves technical discovery, translation, and evangelism, ensuring that customers build on Cloudflare rather than just consume a single service.

Responsibilities:

- Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical

- Engage early and often with sales-led discovery calls and customer teams

- Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems to the Cloudflare platform

- Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts

- Develop and present tailored technical content and demos

- Lead demo and proof-of-concept/build activities for Cloudflare prospects and customers

- Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role

- A genuine "builder" mindset and personality

- Ability to speak engineers' language credibly

- Strong technical discovery instincts

- Comfort operating in an agile, fast-moving environment

- Solid communication, written and presentation skills

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, Pages)

- Understanding of AI/GenAI application patterns

- Knowledge of HTTP technologies, Internet security technologies, networking technologies, and zero-trust network access concepts

- Scripting or programming familiarity with languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Golang
