## Description

WSP USA is seeking an On-Call Archaeological Crew Chief to join our Cultural Resources Management Team. As an On-Call Archaeological Crew Chief, you will be involved in projects with our Heritage and Cultural Resources practice, assisting in supervising fieldwork on Phase I, II, and III projects.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in supervising fieldwork, including archaeological test unit and shovel test excavation, excavation of cultural features, recovery and identification of archaeological artifacts, and recording archaeological data using field forms.

- Document findings through detailed note taking.

- Assist and lead other field team members.

- Familiarity with GPS technology is preferred.

- Work effectively as part of a team and exercise responsible decision-making.

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or a closely related field.

- Archaeological field school or similar experience.

- At least six months of supervisory field experience in North American CRM archaeology.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Physically able to conduct fieldwork in various weather conditions.
