## Description

We are seeking a Director District of Operations (Physical Therapist) to lead our clinical teams and drive operational precision and efficiency across a defined geographic district of hospitals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing standardized best practices, leveraging data-driven insights, and collaborating with site leaders and key hospital partners to ensure seamless, high-quality, and cost-effective hospital operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Implementing practice-wide operational strategies to enhance patient throughput, capacity management, and resource utilization

- Executing standardized operational workflows across all hospitals to drive efficiency, reduce variability, and improve care coordination

- Establishing and reviewing real-time monitoring and predictive analytics to optimize patient flow and discharge planning

- Ensuring accountability among site leaders for optimizing hospital throughput, reducing emergency department boarding, and expediting inpatient admissions

- Driving accountability for the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) methodologies by site leaders to effectively reduce length of stay (LOS) while maintaining the highest standards of care

- Holding site leaders accountable for enhancing discharge planning processes to facilitate timely transitions and minimize avoidable delays

- Ensuring site leaders implement hospital-wide strategies to reduce readmissions and enhance care coordination across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings

- Leveraging predictive analytics to identify high-risk patients and proactively manage discharge planning to prevent avoidable delays and readmissions

- Holding site leaders responsible for driving operational efficiencies that align with financial goals, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control

- Ensuring site leaders implement workforce optimization strategies that balance staffing efficiency with high-quality patient care

- Ensuring site leaders and teams uphold compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including but not limited to CMS and Joint Commission standards

- Holding site leaders accountable for meeting patient flow and discharge-related quality measures, including readmission reduction initiatives

- Driving lasting relationships with hospital partners

- Providing strong leadership to hospital clinical teams and operational managers

- Mentoring and developing teams to foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and patient-centered care

Requirements:

- Graduate of an approved Program of Physical Therapy by APTA and CAPTE or related field of study

- 5+ years of progressive therapy practice experience, with at least 5 years in a management role

- Previous experience in facility or health care management or business school related training

- Licensure appropriate to governing body of state licensing board

- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required

- Ability to lead with empathy and inspire a team

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Window-based applications

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

- Demonstrated expertise in leading large teams in a complex matrixed environment

- Demonstrated expertise in patient flow management, LOS reduction, discharge planning, and transitions of care

- Proven track record of successfully implementing operational best practices across multiple hospital locations

- Excellent coaching skills to leverage operational success from leaders

We offer:

- Base salary: $110,000 - $135,000/year (based on experience and market factors)
