## Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join our Legal Team in EMEA. In this role, you will support complex commercial transactions across Europe, including SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships, while helping the company navigate diverse legal and regulatory frameworks in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.

Your primary focus will be on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, with a primary focus on GTM/Sales transactions in EMEA, including enterprise customer contracts. You will partner with sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement strategies that support high-growth go-to-market initiatives.

You will monitor and interpret evolving European legal and regulatory developments, including data protection, technology, and AI-related frameworks, and apply this knowledge to contract drafting and risk assessment. You will develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, playbooks, and policies to reflect regional requirements and industry best practices.

As a Commercial Counsel, you will provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice to cross-functional teams, tailoring advice to enable responsible growth and innovation. You will contribute to scaling the Legal Team's commercial function, fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture.

We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic individual with a strong sense of ownership, who is comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global colleagues. You will have a proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements, and excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

## Skills

### Required
- Law degree
- Qualification to practice law in a relevant EMEA jurisdiction
- 5+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience
- Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
- Strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property
- Experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer issues

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
