## Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Legal Counsel, AI Governance to join its Legal team. The successful candidate will help scale NVIDIA's AI governance program, provide counsel on emerging AI regulation, transparency, and safety requirements, and work closely with the legal team and colleagues in security, research, and product.

The role involves:

- Advising research and product teams on regulatory requirements, transparency obligations, and development standards

- Helping build and run compliance programs for AI technologies under global and state frameworks

- Drafting and reviewing NVIDIA's AI frameworks, transparency reports, and other public disclosures

- Supporting regulator outreach, standards-body participation, and industry engagement on AI governance

Requirements include:

- J.D. degree with a record of strong academic performance

- 2+ years of relevant legal experience in technology regulation, privacy, data governance, or AI

- Working knowledge of AI regulation and a genuine interest in how AI technologies are developed and governed

- A license to practice law in California and a willingness to work out of NVIDIA's Santa Clara headquarters

- Extraordinary communication and project management skills

Preferred qualifications:

- In-house experience advising on AI, privacy, or technology regulatory compliance, ideally in the high-tech industry

- Technical familiarity with machine learning, AI model development, computer systems, or programming

- Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy, and cybersecurity topics as they relate to AI

The base salary range for this position is $232,000 - $368,000 USD. NVIDIA offers equity and benefits to its employees.
