This is a key role in ensuring Aviva aligns with all regulatory requirements for securing the organization's physical security buildings, assets, business, and personnel. The role also includes security performance monitoring, measurement, and reporting of the Aviva Group standards, in a cycle of continuous improvement. **Responsibilities:** - Accountability for delivery of security services, security strategies, standards, and governance. - Part of the wider Canadian Corporate Security Leadership team, supporting and leading Group Security Standards, Controls, Policies, and assigning findings to the team. - Driving improved value, SLAs, and management of possible 3rd party contracts in the security team. - Conduct control testing and report gaps to management for remediation. - Ensure annual location security reviews and/or analysis are completed throughout the year. - Work with Security Service Vendors to complete Preventative Maintenance across various business locations. - Proactively find opportunities to improve effectiveness and improvements of risk identification and management of policies and processes. - Involved in the development of the technology road map and implementation of Security tools. - Proactively find opportunities to refine processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency. - Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations. - Provide specific focus and expertise to protect Aviva from risks associated with terrorism and malicious intrusion. - Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with collaborators, guests, regulatory bodies, and team members. - Build and maintain documentation on control processes and events. - Able to be on-call with the Duty Manager rotation for escalations and business impacts after-hours. - Take on Travel Security and Executive protection responsibilities. **Requirements:** - Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate physical security within a large, complex organization. - Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing physical security programs and systems. - Strong understanding of physical security risk management principles, threat landscapes, and controls. - Demonstrated experience managing security incidents and leading complex investigations. - Ability to assess risk, make sound decisions, and deliver effective security solutions. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. - Strong leadership and people management capabilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications. - Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation. - Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred. - Experience with physical security platforms and tools is an asset. **What you'll get:** - Salary band: $105,000 to $115,000. - Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities. - Hybrid flexible work model. - Outstanding career development opportunities. - Support for professional development education. - Competitive vacation package. ## Skills ### Required - physical security - risk management - security governance - Microsoft 365 ### Nice to have - bilingualism - physical security platforms and tools --- Source: [Apply at aviva.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com](https://aviva.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External/job/Markham/Corporate-Security-Manager_R-173426?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
