## Description

Wealthsimple is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the People Intelligence team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will lead technical projects from first design through launch and iteration, across products such as performance cycles, compensation planning, talent reviews, total rewards statements, and self-service tools.

You will design scalable architectures that integrate with internal systems and our people data platform. You will build with security in mind from the first commit, including role and reporting-line access, protection for compensation and performance data, and an audit trail on every change.

You will work directly with Total Rewards, HR business partners, Talent Management, and People Operations to understand how each program runs, transforming it into products that managers and employees want to use.

Responsibilities:

- Lead technical projects from first design through launch and iteration

- Design scalable architectures that integrate with internal systems

- Build with security in mind from the first commit

- Work directly with stakeholders to understand program requirements

- Use AI to speed up design, build, and testing

- Raise the technical bar through design reviews, code review, documentation, and mentorship

Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional software development

- Full-stack experience building web applications

- Depth in at least one of Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Kotlin

- Experience designing systems that handle sensitive data

- Clear communication with non-technical partners

- Experience taking a product from 0 to 1

Nice-to-haves:

- Experience building HR or people products

- Experience integrating with an HRIS such as Workday

- Familiarity with how people programs run

- Experience in a regulated or privacy-sensitive environment
