## Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operative to join our team at Wednesbury Hazardous Waste Transfer Station.

The successful candidate will work 45 hours per week on rotating shifts of 0700 to 1600 and 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on start and finish times occasionally required.

As a Transfer Station Operative, you will be involved in the acceptance, physical treatment, and dispatch of packed waste materials, including hazardous products such as paints, aerosols, oil, batteries, and cleaning products.

You will be required to:

- Meet daily targets

- Work safely in a busy waste transfer station processing environment

- Work as part of a team to strict health and safety policy and procedures

- Perform manual handling duties when necessary, including sweeping and cleaning of spilled material, sortation, weighing, and repacking of packaged goods

- Maintain general site housekeeping

Waste industry experience would be advantageous, as would supervisory experience, first aid, fire marshal training, and mobile and/or static plant maintenance knowledge.

Candidates must possess an in-date Counterbalance FLT licence.
