## Description

WSP is seeking an HR Generalist to support its Mobility Operations Team in a hybrid role based in Costa Mesa, CA or Irvine, CA.

The successful candidate will provide HR generalist functions, acting as an advisory and strategic support for employees and leadership. This will involve establishing professional relationships, working closely with WSP's center of excellence teams, and delivering value-added HR support.

Key responsibilities include:

- Communicating HR policies and procedures to managers and employees

- Providing guidance and advisement on HR-related matters

- Assisting with employee relations, performance management, and talent development

- Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements

- Analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data obtained during investigations

- Offering input on developing action plans for resolution

- Using discretion and professional judgment in assisting with significant matters

- Providing support and assistance regarding legal requirements related to employee management

- Reducing legal risks and ensuring policy and labor law compliance

- Assisting with project communication strategies and workplace initiatives

- Functioning as an HR process resource and people advocate

- Providing input on work team reorganizations, workforce planning efforts, and succession planning

- Remaining current in the latest HR techniques, practices, and California employment laws

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree preferred

- 7+ years of relevant experience in human resources or an equivalent role

- Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen

- High familiarity with HR disciplines and a sound understanding of their intent and impact

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficiency with MS Office suite products and HR tools

- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
