## Description

ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Title One Math Teacher at Inkster Preparatory Academy in Inkster, Michigan. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year

- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development

- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Manage student behavior and create a positive classroom environment

- Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

- Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice

- Participate in non-instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active Michigan teaching license in math

- Bachelor's degree in education or related field

- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students

- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working in an urban environment
