## Description

The Markets Pricing team plays a critical role in supporting the Digital & Securities Markets business by crafting and driving commercial strategies across the product lifecycle,including ideation, development, launch, and ongoing management.

As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with senior business leaders and product development teams to design and implement a balanced and competitive commercial policy. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Markets Pricing, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining a robust analytical framework focused on commercial performance and pricing strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Creating and evolving pricing structures in support of business and commercial objectives

- Analysing and assuring the competitiveness of existing pricing structures

- Providing information and analysis on clients’ behaviour

- Monitoring the impact of LSEG pricing initiatives on clients and market quality

- Analysing competitors’ pricing initiatives

- Driving increased alignment in pricing structures across Capital Markets

- Effectively collaborating with business to provide high-quality analysis to stakeholders

- Proactively identifying, analysing, and presenting commercial opportunities

The role requires:

- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

- Intermediate proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau)

- Intermediate proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Prophet, scikit-learn)

- Intermediate proficiency in SQL

Desirable skills include:

- At least 2-3 years of professional experience

- Understanding of financial markets

- Knowledge of developing forecasting models

- Prior experience in Data Science and Advanced Analytics

A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or equivalent experience is required.
