## Description

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineering Manager to support the Flight Simulation Lab Software Team in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic and cohesive management team in a large, cross-functional integrated product team (IPT) developing modeling and simulation capabilities for cutting-edge combat aircraft.

The ideal candidate will lead the Flight Simulation | Labs (FSL) software team supporting the MQ-25 Stingray autonomous drone. A strong software leader will work closely with FSL hardware teams and program Mission Systems teams to deliver cutting-edge modeling and simulation capabilities.

**Position Responsibilities:**

- Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Software Engineering

- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures

- Acquire resources for department activities and provide technical management of suppliers

- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

- Manage, develop, and motivate employees

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):**

- Bachelor's degree

- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)

- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position

- 5+ years of experience in hardware/software integration, emulation, and/or testing

- 1+ year of experience developing/maintaining team schedules, resource management, earned value management, risk management, and project management

- 1+ year of experience working with Modeling and Simulation Tools and Technologies

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

- 3+ years of leadership experience in systems engineering, software, and/or testing

- Working knowledge of the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe)

- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
