## Description

The Building Maintenance Unit at HKUST's Campus Management Office is seeking a Manager (Building Maintenance) to lead an in-house team and contractors in delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Leading a team to facilitate a culture of good quality service delivery;

- Reviewing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure continuous performance improvement;

- Maintaining budget and resources for effective operation;

- Supervising routine and planned maintenance works, and providing 24-hour emergency response;

- Communicating with stakeholders for addition, alteration, repairs, and maintenance works;

- Maintaining work order logs according to service level agreements;

- Ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in building technology, construction, building surveying, or a related discipline, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in building facilities management. They should have proven experience in managing and supervising subordinates, good organisational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is required, with proficiency in Putonghua being preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Maximo, and GIS is an advantage.

The appointment will be for a 2-year contract. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits, will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
