## Description

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Business: CTO Data Technology

Principal responsibilities:

- Lead API Modernization: Spearhead the architectural design and execution of our strategic API migration from MuleSoft to Spring Boot, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and maintainable transition.

- Drive Platform Strategy: Act as a key technical authority for MongoDB-related initiatives, guiding platform adoption, enhancement, and administration across our enterprise environment.

- Manage Critical Migrations: Take ownership of delivering complex migration projects, including a multi-year MongoDB version upgrade and the migration of the IKP namespace cluster, with a focus on stability and minimal disruption.

- Optimize System Performance: Lead infrastructure resource planning, performance tuning, and configuration optimization to ensure our platforms are efficient, resilient, and ready for future demands.

- Champion DevOps Practices: Contribute to the implementation and refinement of our CI/CD pipelines, driving automation and improving engineering efficiency and deployment quality.

- Collaborate and Communicate: Foster strong cross-regional collaboration between development, infrastructure, and operations teams to align on technical initiatives and ensure successful project delivery.

- Build Team Capability: As a founding member of the new CDMS PODs team, you will help establish best practices and build the team’s technical foundation, accelerating solution delivery.

Requirements:

- Expert-Level API & Microservices Experience: Proven experience in designing, building, and leading complex API solutions. Direct, hands-on experience migrating services from MuleSoft to Spring Boot is essential.

- Strong MongoDB Expertise: Deep knowledge of MongoDB, covering both development support and enterprise-level administration (configuration, performance tuning, environment management).

- Proven Migration Leadership: A successful track record of leading large-scale database and platform migration projects (e.g., version upgrades, platform transformations) with a keen eye for execution quality.

- DevOps and Automation Mindset: Practical knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools, with experience in supporting and improving modern software delivery processes.

- Exceptional Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to lead technical teams, collaborate across different regions and functions, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

- Proactive and Ownership-Driven: A proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership, capable of driving initiatives from concept to completion and mentoring new team members.

- HSBC Experience (Preferred): Previous working experience within HSBC's technical environment is a significant plus.
