## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a UI Scripter Intern to join their team at Criterion Games in Guildford, Surrey. The intern will work on implementing the player's user interface within the game, following technical and artistic guidance.

The internship is a 12-month paid position starting in July 2027, with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 3 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:

- Implement the player's user interface within the game's visual scripting and layout engine

- Work with a cross-studio team including UI Scripters, Designers, Artists, Engineers, and Production team

- Ensure the UI is implemented following engineering principles

- Troubleshoot user interface issues

- Resolve technical challenges and limitations

Eligibility:

- Studying in the penultimate year of an undergraduate Bachelor's degree with a planned placement year ahead

- Available to commence a full-time, 12-month placement in July 2027

- Eligible to work in Guildford, UK without additional visa or relocation support

Skills:

- Experience with visual scripting (e.g. Unreal Blueprints), scripting languages (e.g. Python, Lua), or general programming (C#, C++)

- Understanding of core user interface principles

- Experience in implementing and testing user interfaces

- Experience in troubleshooting user interface issues

- Ability to resolve technical challenges and limitations
