## Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Skilled Rehab team at Good Samaritan Maplewood. The successful candidate will work part-time, covering the Skilled Nursing Facility on weekends for admissions, discharges, or other necessary patients. This role involves assisting patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.

Responsibilities:

- Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments

- Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels and patient goals

- Contribute to the process by exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses and communications during intervention

- Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of the professional organisation

Requirements:

- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure

- Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant

- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment

We offer a salary range of $24.00 - $38.50 per hour.
