## Description

As a Senior Data Engineer for the Public Sector business unit at Scale, you will build analytical and business-intelligence infrastructure.

You will have widespread responsibility for understanding, mining, aggregating, and exposing data across the business unit to support decision-making and data exploration.

Your tasks will include implementing Scale's data warehouse, data mart, and business intelligence reporting environments, and helping users transition their workflows to these systems.

You will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and develop sustainable, scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Work with operations, finance, and engineering to drive pipeline development for single-source-of-truth foundational accuracy

- Improve ongoing data pipelines and simplify self-service support for business stakeholders

- Perform regular system audits and create data quality tests for complete and accurate reporting

- Develop repeatable, scalable analytical solutions, such as data models and improved pipelines

- Hold an active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)

Ideal candidate should have:

- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data modeling and analytics

- Ability to create extensible and scalable data schema and pipelines

- Mastery of SQL and relational databases, with experience in programming languages like Python/R

- Experience building reliable transformation layers and pipelines using tools like DBT

The base salary range for this full-time position in Washington DC is: $150,400-$259,000 USD.
