## Description

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Barclays in Pune. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

- Create and execute automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria.

- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.

- Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organisation's technology communities.

**Requirements:**

- Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (BDD/Gherkin, Selenium).

- Ability to design and execute end-to-end test plans/cases for distributed systems, blockchain platforms, APIs, and wallets.

- Understanding of performance, resilience, failover, and security testing for regulated digital asset environments.

**Desirable Skills:**

- Understanding of Payment systems within the bank and knowledge of Digital Assets.

- Experience managing test environment across payment schemes, blockchain networks, and backend services.

- Experience in building API automation frameworks (REST, Kafka-based) using Python/Java with CI/CD integration.
