## Description

At AIA, we've started an exciting movement to create a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.

We're looking for a New Business HNW Underwriter, Principal to perform underwriting assessments for high net worth cases and non-HNW cases.

**Responsibilities:**

- Underwrite large sum assured applications and communicate decisions to intermediaries within agreed turnaround times

- Ensure cases are underwritten within agreed timelines

- Review complex appeal cases and coach underwriters for large sum assured cases

- Liaise with reinsurers on referral cases beyond local authority

- Resolve enquiries and issues with channel management

- Actively handle own case appeals, postpones, and declines

- Review and identify areas for process improvement or operational efficiency

- Support Team Lead to drive changes in process improvement and operational efficiency

- Participate in Quality Assurance reviews and instill a higher risk awareness culture

- Provide underwriting-related support for business development projects and perform data or trend analysis as needed

**Requirements:**

- Minimum Bachelor's degree

- Minimum 10 years underwriting experience in both direct and reinsurer

- Experience with high underwriting authority for High-Net-Worth (HNW) products is highly desirable
