## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 6th-8th Grade ELA/Social Studies Teacher at Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant in Cleveland, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students.

Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant is an award-winning public charter school for EK-8th grade students, celebrating over 10 years of service to the community. The school is known for its academic excellence, nurturing teachers and staff, and well-rounded education featuring Career Technical Education.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year

- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development

- Utilise research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Manage student behaviour in the classroom

- Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Utilise school-approved curricula reflecting diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds

- Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

- Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice

- Participate in non-instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active Ohio teaching license in the relevant content area

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students

- Pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working in an urban environment
