## Description

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Troy, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating service parts pricing agreements with suppliers, managing supplier issues and cost changes, and ensuring new model parts have a firm price.

**Job Purpose** The Procurement Specialist will serve as a primary contact with the HDMA supplier network to ensure parts are purchased at the best possible cost. This role will focus on service part cost negotiation, supplier visits, contract review, and projects as assigned.

**Key Accountabilities**

- Negotiate service parts pricing agreements with suppliers

- Manage supplier issues and cost changes on all parts

- Conduct supplier visits, projects, and Critical Back Order (CBO) support

- Ensure new model parts have a firm price while targeting SP=MP metrics

- Ensure correct payment to suppliers/reconcile accounts through Invoice Balancing system

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**

- Minimum Educational Qualifications: BA/BS Degree (Business or Engineering preferred) or equivalent

- Minimum Experience: 1+ years of supply chain experience

- Automotive background preferred but not required

- Other Job-Specific Skills:

+ Negotiation skills   + Financial acumen   + Prioritization and time management skills   + Communication skills   + Technical skills (e.g. drawing interpretation/reading) are helpful but not essential
