## Description

We are seeking a Senior Control Specialist to join our Control Services team. As a Senior Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the internal control operation across different processes and functions within the Chief Operating Officer (COO) department.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Be accountable for the internal control operation

- Ensure understanding of internal controls, their objectives, and the risks they mitigate

- Prepare and revise standard operating procedures for respective controls as needed

- Complete control operations (financial, key, operational) accurately and within defined timelines

- Gather and store evidence for future retrieval purposes

- Collaborate with customers and partners to understand the impact of changes on control design and operation

- Raise control-related issues and ensure timely closure

- Recommend and implement improvements to control processes

- Ensure audit preparation, outputs, and follow-up meet required standards

- Lead process walkthroughs for external auditors and collect data feed access declarations

**Control Framework Compliance:**

- Develop an understanding of the LSEG Control Framework and related policies and standards

**Relationship with Control Owners:**

- Partner with control owners to ensure control operation and monitoring

- Provide regular updates on control operation status

- Partner with 1st and 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) Risk to ensure accurate and timely control operation

- Partner with 2nd LOD Risk to ensure alignment with Group Risk standards

- Partner with 3rd LOD Internal Audit to provide clarity

**Requirements:**

- Proven track record in operations (e.g., Order Management, AP/AR, BSR)

- Understanding of internal control design and operation

- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience and skills

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills

- Ability to work independently and solve problems

- Focus on continual improvement and innovative approach

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Data analytics skills an advantage
