## Description

We are seeking a Special Education Academic Coach I to assist students with diverse needs in accessing our general education curriculum. As a Special Education Academic Coach I, you will ensure that students receive individualized attention and support to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with instruction and supervision of students with learning differences

- Facilitate small group and individual instruction

- Monitor student progress and provide input for evaluation and parent conferences

- Establish rapport and meaningful relationships with referred students to improve their behavior, educational performance, and social relationships

- Perform clerical support duties, including typing, completing documents, and record-keeping

Requirements:

- High School diploma/GED and an Associate's degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university

- Experience in a school/learning environment preferred

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

- Ability to evaluate alternatives, listen, and motivate

- Knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics (or readiness)

This is an hourly position that can work variable hours up to 35 per week. The salary range is $20.60 - $25.11 per hour.
