## Description

Join Cisco's Asset and Entitlement Engineering team as a Software Engineer and play a key role in designing and developing next-generation capabilities.

You'll focus on developing software to transform Cisco's Products Lifecycle and Post Sales Customer Experience using AI and Generative AI.

Responsibilities:

- Drive AI and Generative AI development, focusing on Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI applications

- Build large-scale Gen AI applications prioritizing AI-first principles, simplicity, and intuitive User Experience (UX)

- Ensure operational excellence with secure coding practices and a focus on user privacy

- Collaborate with architects and leadership to deliver scalable solutions

- Work with Scrum masters, product owners, and global delivery teams to drive project releases and sprint work

- Develop and optimize secure Gen AI platforms for enterprise document management, data security, and compliance

- Implement end-to-end workflows for document ingestion, processing, classification, and retrieval within AI systems

- Maintain responsible AI practices, adhering to data security standards and regulatory compliance

- Engineer prompt handling and intent recognition for LLMs, exposing capabilities via APIs

- Design, develop, and optimize in-app and role-based AI Agents with secure semantic layers

- Lead implementation of agentic frameworks to enable robust Ask/Respond capabilities

- Build and maintain advanced Natural Language Interaction (NLI) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems

- Develop secure data connectors for major enterprise databases

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 5 years of software development experience or Master's degree with 3 years of experience

- Strong programming skills in Java and Python

- Experience with AI, Agile, and DevSecOps practices

- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database concepts

- Hands-on experience with AI Native Development and Tools

Preferred Requirements:

- Oracle Ecosystem expertise

- Experience with ELK Stack, MongoDB, Apache Kafka

- Advanced prompt engineering skills

- Experience with Gen AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex

- Experience with vector databases
