The Foreign Exchange team builds the products and infrastructure that help Stripe users operate across currencies. Businesses increasingly operate globally from the moment they launch, collecting revenue, holding balances, paying suppliers, and managing expenses across multiple currencies. Managing those currencies remains fragmented. Finance teams must decide what to hold, when to convert, how to manage currency exposure, and how to reconcile the results. Today, these workflows often span banks, spreadsheets, treasury systems, and specialist FX providers. Stripe is uniquely positioned to simplify this. We sit at the center of the payments, Billing, balances, payouts, and settlement flows that create a business’s currency needs. Our vision is to make Stripe the financial home for businesses operating internationally, with a unified offering for holding, converting, and managing currencies and FX risk. We’re looking for a Product Manager to build a new area of Stripe’s FX and currency-management offering. This is a zero-to-one product role at the intersection of FX, treasury, and agentic AI. You will help define what agentic currency management should look like. That could mean Stripe-native agents that understand exposure, recommend actions, and execute within customer-defined policies. It could also mean enabling customers’ own agents to use Stripe’s FX infrastructure to understand balances, obtain pricing, manage risk, execute transactions, and reconcile the results. You will work directly with globally operating businesses to understand their most important currency-management problems. You will identify the right initial product wedge and take it from discovery through launch and iteration. ## Responsibilities - Deeply understand how global businesses and platforms manage currencies, including holding, converting, forecasting, hedging, and reconciliation. - Own the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for a focused area of Stripe’s FX and currency-management offering. - Identify high-value customer problems and take new products from discovery through launch, adoption, and iteration. - Define Stripe’s approach to agentic currency management, including Stripe-native experiences, agent-ready APIs, permissions, controls, and evaluation. - Partner closely with Engineering and Design to build simple, reliable products across user experiences, APIs, data models, and financial infrastructure. - Work across Treasury, Risk, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product Marketing to ensure products are economically sound, operationally scalable, and successful with customers. - Use customer insights and product results to shape Stripe’s broader FX and currency-management strategy. ## Requirements - 5+ years of product management experience, including taking technically complex products from problem definition through launch and iteration. - Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into clear product strategies and focused roadmaps. - Experience building financial infrastructure, enterprise software, APIs, regulated products, AI-native products, or similarly complex systems. - Strong technical judgment and experience partnering with engineers on APIs, data flows, reliability, and system behavior. - Strong customer instincts and experience translating complex financial or operational workflows into simple, scalable products. - Strong analytical judgment and ability to make decisions with incomplete information. - Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain product decisions, risks, and tradeoffs across technical and nontechnical teams. ## Skills ### Required - product management - financial infrastructure - enterprise software - APIs - regulated products - AI-native products - technical judgment - customer instincts - analytical judgment - written and verbal communication ### Nice to have - foreign exchange - multi-currency products - treasury - cross-border money movement - hedging - financial risk management - AI-native or agentic products - API-first, configurable, or automated financial products - economics - accounting - liquidity - regulatory - operational considerations --- Source: [Apply at job-boards.greenhouse.io](https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe/jobs/8231234?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
