## Description

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Testing) to drive customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer experience, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses a quality-driven mindset.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead a segment of several initiatives or a larger initiative, or formally supervise a small team

- Implement enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools

- Develop and implement build control strategies or QA tools/processes

- Interact with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules

- Translate complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods

- Identify and implement automation efforts

- Participate in requirements review and testing activities

- Mentor the team

- Work with software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests

- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Identify early defects to improve product quality

- Follow SDLC and STLC process with quality management and Agile tools like ALM

- Monitor customer insights and production issues to seek quality feedback and improve processes

**Requirements:**

- Working knowledge of Card Payment systems

- Working knowledge of payment simulation tools such as T3/similar or ISO payment protocols (8583) & (20022)

- Working knowledge/experience on different card platforms/Switch

- Strong understanding of Mastercard/Visa transaction flows and payment network processing

- Experience validating ISO 8583 Data Elements

- Knowledge of authorization systems, payment switches, issuer/acquirer flows, and transaction routing concepts

- Ability to perform impact analysis, regression assessment, and release validation for complex payment enhancements

- Experience participating in requirement reviews, acceptance criteria validation, and defect triage discussions

- Strong analytical mindset with a quality-first approach to software delivery

- Understanding of Unix/Linux Commands, SQL

- Experience on Tandem HP non-stop, Mainframe will be added advantage

- Understanding of any programming language

- Knowledge of software testing life cycle

- Hands-on experience on Functional, Regression, System, UAT Testing

- Experience in automation testing using tools like JBehave, TestNG, SOAP UI, Appium, Selenium

- Excellent defect finding, debugging, root cause analysis capabilities

- Excellent communication skill and team handling capabilities

- Experience of testing solutions for large-scale deployments

- Experience of working in payments application Domain

- Hands-on experience of working with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally
