## Description

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join the EA SPORTS™ NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a Game Modes Software Engineer, you will focus on improving scalability across platforms and developing features that facilitate user experiences beyond gameplay.

The EA SPORTS™ NHL franchise has revolutionized sports gaming for millions of players worldwide. Our team is composed of diverse talent dedicated to creating on-ice experiences that connect gamers around the world through play.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and extend offline and online features

- Implement a feature's core logic and flows

- Monitor and address performance and stability impacts of features

- Work with designers to gather requirements and propose technical solutions

- Collaborate with a team of engineers and report to a team lead

- Support functionality across platforms

- Update technology, tools, and frameworks to accommodate each platform

- Update features to be performant on different hardware

Requirements:

- Proficiency with software engineering principles and architectural design

- Proficiency with testing, debugging, and performance optimizations

- Experience with client-server architectures, multi-threaded applications, and database technologies

- Experience developing on multiple platforms

- 3+ years of C++ software development

- Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools
