## Description

As a DevOps Specialist at Davies, you will act as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and continuous improvement.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that milestones are clearly understood and documented, and software development teams deliver high-quality products and enhancements efficiently, predictably, and sustainably, focusing on resolving business problems and goals.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivery Planning & Execution: Oversee and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of software features, services, or platforms from discovery through deployment. Track and manage dependencies, risks, and issues across squads and functions.

- Stakeholder Communication & Transparency: Provide clear, consistent communication on progress, risks, and priorities. Support product and engineering leaders with data-driven forecasting.

- Team Enablement & Facilitation: Cultivate strong, autonomous, high-performing teams by promoting good delivery practices. Facilitate workshops and collaborative planning sessions.

- Governance, Standards & Compliance: Support PMO and senior leaders with the creation of steering board presentations. Ensure teams follow organisational quality, security, and delivery standards.

- Cross-Team Coordination: Assist with managing cross-team dependencies and facilitate alignment across multiple squads.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.

- 8+ years of DevOps, platform engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or software delivery experience.

- Hands-on experience with Docker/K8s, GitHub, GitHub Actions, source control, branching models, pull requests, release automation, and CI/CD.

- Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure services, infrastructure as code, scripting, APIs, and data platform delivery.

- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate delivery needs into scalable DevOps solutions.
