## Description

Spire Yale Hospital in Wrexham is looking for an experienced Engineer to join its team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive and cost-effective engineering service within the hospital, ensuring a safe environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors.

**Working hours:** Up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. This position is also available on a job-share basis, and part-time working arrangements can be discussed during the recruitment process. On-call duties are required every third week, from Monday to Sunday.

**Responsibilities:**

- Implement a comprehensive, cost-effective, planned, and preventative maintenance/repair programme for all engineering services/equipment.

- Identify, prioritise, and report engineering infrastructure and compliance risk to the Engineering Manager or Regional Engineer Manager.

- Ensure accurate record keeping and easy retrieval filing of documentation for all services and equipment audit purposes.

- Contribute to the energy performance of the site, optimising the Building Management System and utilising Spire Healthcare's Energy Remote System (ERM) and benchmarking energy reports.

- Complete Spire competency documentation and identify personal training and development requirements.

- Act as the point of contact for external contractors providing specialist services to building/building services/equipment.

- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy while carrying out duties.

**Requirements:**

- Served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.

- Extensive knowledge of building services.

- Good communication skills and a professional appearance.

- Customer-oriented with a friendly and approachable attitude.

- Ability to contribute to a team environment.
