## Description

WSP USA's Lighting Design Team is seeking a Lighting Intern to work out of their Boston office. This temporary position is for individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

As a Lighting Intern, you will:

- Learn basic principles of Lighting Design

- Collaborate with design team members to develop designs

- Perform basic lighting calculations and analysis

- Support preparation of design documents

- Assist in selecting and specifying lighting fixtures

- Complete training on assigned tasks

- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct

- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

To qualify, you must:

- Be actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later

- Be 18 or older

- Have a demonstrated interest in Lighting or a related field

- Possess competent interpersonal and communication skills

- Be capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers

- Have basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools

- Uphold workplace safety and abide by WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

- Be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications include experience with AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, and hand drawing, as well as prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.

The expected salary for this position is $19 - $30 per hour.
